The nation is celebrating today the
77th Pakistan Day in a befitting manner. The day is dawn with 31 gun
salute in the Federal Capital, and 21 gun salute in the provincial capitals. Special
feature of today’s parade is the participation of Peoples Liberation Army
China's Tri Services, Saudi Special Force's contingents and Turkish Jannisary
Military band.
23rd of March is a
significant day as it laid foundation of Pakistan in 1940. We as nation
has same spirit which we used to have in 1940. We are all equal and united
under our flag. Because of efforts and sacrifices of our forefathers, we
are living in a free and independent state. Since 1857, Muslims of subcontinent
never accepted British rule with whole heart. Quaid-e-Azam materialized the
dream of Allam Iqbal. He addressed a huge crowd at Iqbal Park and gave the
message for a separate homeland. He said that Muslims of subcontinent are
linguistically, culturally and religiously a separate nation. We set our
destination in 1940 and achieved freedom in 7 years. We should reiterate our
resolve on this day to support Kashmiri brethren. Our armed forces and
scientists made Pakistan’s security indispensable. No power on earth can undo
Pakistan and it will continue making progress. Today’s Pakistan is the
road model for the Muslim ummah as well as for all atomic world, in the end I pray
to Almighty Allah for its solidarity and prosperity.
